Kalki 2898 AD Japan premiere: A heartwarming surprise for producer Priyanka Dutt

MUMBAI: The blockbuster hit movie Kalki 2898 AD directed by  Nag Ashwin is all set to release in Japan after enjoying a release. The excitement around Kalki 2898 AD hit a heartwarming crescendo at its special premiere in Japan on 19th December. The event, held at the renowned Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo, took an unexpectedly delightful turn when Japanese fans orchestrated a surprise birthday celebration for the film’s producer, Priyanka Dutt who was present in the audience along with director Nag Ashwin.

As the screening came to an end, the entire theater burst into a lively rendition of Happy Birthday. The fans, clearly brimming with enthusiasm, sang in unison, and director Nag Ashwin joined in with the crowd, adding to the warm atmosphere. Priyanka, caught off guard but visibly touched, smiled brightly and bowed deeply to thank everyone for their heartfelt gesture.

After the premiere, Nag Ashwin also recorded a personal video message, which was shared on the film’s official social media page. He addressed fans with his signature warmth, saying: 
"Hello everyone. Thank you for coming to the film today. I hope you enjoyed the film and I hope you come and watch the film with your friends and family on January 3rd. Arigato gozaimasu."

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan , Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, the film will premiere on 3rd January, 2025.
