MUMBAI: ‘Metro...इन दिनों’ is all set to release in cinemas on 4th July 2025
With star power, heart, and soul, Metro… इन दिनों is shaping up to be one of 2025’s must-watch films. Directed by Anurag Basu as a part of his hyperlinked trilogy following Life in a…Metro (2007) and Ludo (2020), the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Basu himself. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast and new pairings, the film promises to weave a layered narrative of love, loneliness, and modern life in the big metro cities of India. Amongst the pairs casted, one of the much-awaited on-screen duo is that of Pankaj Tripathi and Konkona Sensharma – who will be seen together on-screen for the first time ever.
Talking about Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona said, “Working with Pankaj Tripathi, I'm so thrilled that I got a chance to work with such a wonderful actor like him. I really got to know him well because I didn't know him at all actually. I was a little familiar with his work but I really had no idea what an amazing co-actor he was going to turn out to be. I was so comfortable with him and the best part is he's so funny. And he's also somebody who's very comfortable in his own skin. He's very authentic to his own personality. He's quite a gentleman.”
Adding to her experience of working with Pankaj, Konkona said, “I really enjoyed working with him. There was a lot of trust that had formed between us. And I think both of us could perhaps relate to the characters and the situation. You know, so we really enjoyed ourselves and I felt very very comfortable with him. And also he used to crack me up all the time because he's actually very funny. I really enjoyed working with him.”
The recently launched trailer of ‘Metro...In Dino’ has received a positive response from audiences and the film seeks to offer audiences a personal connection to stories that feel both intimate and universal. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film features an ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Konkona SenSharma, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, and Saswata Chatterjee.
