MUMBAI: Colors TV show Durga - Atoot Prem Kahani started on a grand note last year in September.
However, after just a few months of the show's launch, it went off-air.
Durga aired its last episode on 5th January 2025.
While the show had a short run on small screens, it definitely created a huge impact on the viewers.
No one expected Durga to go off-air so soon.
One of the popular characters of the show Paani Bai which was played by Indira Krishna grabbed a lot of attention.
The actress convincingly portrayed this role and also won several accolades for the same.
However, social media is one such place where actors get to see both the good and bad side of the internet.

Where Indira has been praised for her performance, she has also been targeted by the trolls where they have dropped derogatory remarks on her character and so on.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Indira who spoke about the social media trolls and how she has been taking this negativity surrounding her character and much more.
Speaking about the trolls, she said, ''I have had a lot of fans of the protagonist who targeted me. There were a lot of negative comments as well. I have felt to a point that I have never fed a way and I have never given too much importance to trolls and comments. But yes it did upset me once when I had a troller telling me that, 'Paani bai needs to be taken naked on the road.' This comment was posted by a woman. When I went to her profile, I saw a picture of the woman and her daughter. She also had a family. It's shocking to see how a woman can say such a thing to another woman. I had a similar comment which read, 'Someone should throw something on her face.' They were more like trying to threaten me rather than trolling.''
She added, ''When I used to go on the profiles of those trollers, they had no followers and some of them used to block me. I used to keep reporting these accounts. I have felt a little bit demeaned about this entire thing. I was just thinking that if someone has the fan following, the fans would never say anything bad about the character. This is definitely a PR stunt. I was trolled badly a couple of times. I feel this could be a game of bringing me down.''
She concluded, ''I have backlashed to a couple of trollers who have really written these kinds of things. I think I am a respectable woman and we all are respectable humans on this earth. I remember someone saying, 'Why can't she die under the track!' It surprises me because they are literate people dropping such comments.''
Well, it's really sad to see how viewers can go to any extent and cross boundaries by posting such negative comments on celebrities.
