MUMBAI: Dipika Kakar, a beloved name in Indian television, became a household favourite with her portrayal of Simar in Colors TV’s Sasural Simar Ka. She even reprised her role for a brief period when the show returned with its second season. However, after that, Dipika stepped away from daily soaps and the small screen.
In recent years, she has appeared in a few music videos alongside her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim. Besides being an actress, Dipika is now a devoted mother to her baby boy, Ruhaan, who was born in June last year. Since then, she has been focused on her motherhood journey, balancing it with other ventures.
Dipika has also become a successful vlogger, frequently sharing glimpses of her personal life on YouTube. Additionally, she ventured into the fashion industry by launching her own clothing brand, Label DKI.

More recently, Dipika made a grand return to television by participating in Celebrity MasterChef India. From the very beginning, she emerged as a strong contender, impressing the judges with her culinary skills.
She even became the first contestant to win the coveted immunity pin but later chose to forfeit it to save herself from an elimination challenge. Her dedication and passion made her a fan favourite, with many believing she could win the title.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, reports now suggest that Dipika Kakar has decided to quit Celebrity MasterChef India due to health issues.
Fans who follow Shoaib Ibrahim’s vlogs may have noticed that Dipika was recently seen wearing a sling on her arm due to sudden and severe shoulder pain. Despite medical advice to rest, she continued shooting for the show. Unfortunately, the persistent pain has now forced her to step away from the competition.
Dipika’s last episode will coincide with Hina Khan’s special appearance on the show for the Holi celebrations.
Her sudden exit has come as a shock to her fans, who had high hopes of seeing her win the competition. Her absence will undoubtedly be felt, and her departure gives the remaining contestants a significant advantage.
