On Mahashivratri, Sony SAB artistes discuss their spiritual relationship with Lord Shiva

MUMBAI: Sony SAB's gifted artists, Krishna Bharadwaj, Priyamvada Kant, Arav Chowdharry, Mahir Pandhi, and Sayli Salunkhe, all discuss the importance of this auspicious day in their lives during Mahashivratri. For these performers, Mahashivratri is a time of dedication and thankfulness rather than merely a celebration. Each of them embraces the occasion in a different way, whether it is through fasting, ancient customs, or taking inspiration from Shiva's heavenly teachings. They also consider the ways in which this holy night deepens their faith and advances their quest for harmony and inner serenity.

"Shivratri has been one of the biggest festivals that we celebrate as a family," stated Krishna Bharadwaj, who portrays Tenali Rama in Tenali Rama. Since I was a young child, I have observed Shivratri by fasting. My parents are in Mumbai with me during Shivratri, which makes it even more wonderful. I am therefore excited to enjoy the marwari treats that my mother would prepare for the fast.

"I am greatly inspired by Lord Shiva's divine energy and symbolism as a devotee," stated Priyamvada Kant, who portrays Sharda in Tenali Rama. While his Trishul teaches us to balance our ego, mind, and intellect, his third eye serves as a reminder to trust our intuition and see beyond the obvious. May we all experience peace, harmony, and self-awareness as a result of Lord Shiva's blessings. I hope everyone has a wonderful Mahashivratri!

"I am a very spiritual person, so Mahashivratri holds a very special place in my heart," stated Arav Chowdharry, who plays Kesari in Veer Hanuman. I do Shiv ji's puja every year with a lot of dedication. Offering the Shivling milk, water, belpatra, datura, sandalwood, and fruits is part of the puja, and the entire ritual of reciting mantras and lighting the diya produces a profoundly calm and beautiful ambiance. This ceremony, in my opinion, is about inner calm and thankfulness in addition to tradition.

"One of the most amazing parts of Mahashivratri is the Neelkanth legend," said Mahir Pandhi, who plays Bali and Sugreev in Veer Hanuman. "I grew up hearing my father tell me stories about how Lord Shiva selflessly consumed the deadly poison to protect the world, and the festival takes me back to those days." Happy Shivratri! Jai Mahakal to all of you!

"I make it a point to fast every year because Mahashivratri is thought to be very auspicious for meditation," said Sayli Salunkhe. Sincere devotion of Lord Shiva on this day is thought to assist followers in achieving moksha, which is the ultimate goal of escaping the cycle of birth and death. May we all be blessed by Shiv ji on this auspicious day.

Tune in to Sony SAB's Tenali Rama from Monday to Saturday at 8PM, and Veer Hanuman from 11th March from Monday to Saturday
