In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Soniya opened up about her experience on the show, her reaction to two major reality shows going off-air, and what’s next in her career.

MUMBAI: Actress Soniya Bansal, known for her work in Hindi and Telugu cinema as well as a slew of popular music videos, has been creating quite the buzz post her stint on Bigg Boss Season 17. Though her journey in the reality show was short-lived—being the first contestant to be evicted she certainly made her presence felt.

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Soniya opened up about her experience on the show, her reaction to two major reality shows going off-air, and what’s next in her career.

You made quite an impression on Bigg Boss 17. Do you have any regrets about joining the show, especially since you were eliminated early on?

Not at all. Why should I regret it? I was happy to be a part of Bigg Boss. I believe every project is written in your destiny and becomes part of your body of work. No work is small or big; it all adds to your journey. I genuinely enjoyed my time on the show and I have absolutely no regrets.

Post Bigg Boss, there seems to be a lot of curiosity around your next steps. Can you share details about your upcoming projects?

There are quite a few interesting projects in the pipeline. I’m currently taking my time to choose the right one. You’ll hear something concrete very soon, I promise. I want to make sure the next project I take on is creatively fulfilling.

There’s been a lot of chatter about both Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi not returning this year. What’s your take on that?

Honestly, I think it’s the right decision. Everyone’s life today feels like a reality show like Bigg Boss. Maybe taking a break is not such a bad idea. It gives space for fresh formats and ideas to emerge.

Soniya’s grounded perspective and positive attitude reflect a maturity that fans admire. Despite her early exit from Bigg Boss 17, the actress has managed to stay in the limelight, with offers pouring in. It’s only a matter of time before she makes her next big move on screen.
