MUMBAI: Divya Agarwal has firmly established herself as a prominent figure in both the television and digital entertainment space. Rising to fame through her appearances on reality shows such as MTV Splitsvilla, MTV Roadies, and most notably, Bigg Boss OTT, Divya has earned a reputation as a fierce competitor and a strong on-screen presence. She ultimately claimed victory in the first season of Bigg Boss OTT, securing her status as one of the industry's standout performers.
Recently, Divya made headlines for a happier milestone with her wedding to hotelier and entrepreneur Apurva Padgaonkar. The couple have quickly become one of the most admired pairs in showbiz, with fans often praising their chemistry and support for one another.
However, in a recent interview, the actress didn’t hold back as she addressed her long-standing issues with television producer Vikas Gupta. Speaking candidly, Divya shed light on the darker side of the entertainment industry, specifically accusing Gupta of exploiting newcomers and attempting to derail careers.
“He never managed to harm me directly,” she stated, “but I’ve witnessed the damage he’s caused to others. When aspiring actors come to Mumbai full of hope and passion, they often look for guidance and support. It’s disheartening to see that trust manipulated.”
Divya went on to share that she saw firsthand how Vikas allegedly treated actors Priyank Sharma and Varun Sood, both of whom were close to her. “I was with them through those times, and I saw exactly what he was doing. The way he would talk openly about destroying someone’s life or career was shocking.”
The actress also recounted confronting Gupta directly. “I told him to his face — you’re working in Mumbai, don’t ruin people’s careers, especially not of a woman who isn’t afraid to stand up to you. He would do truly vile things.”
Her bold remarks have struck a chord with many, particularly within an industry where few dare to speak so openly about powerful figures. Divya’s decision to come forward has been widely seen as a brave move, shining a light on the challenges faced by newcomers and the importance of accountability in the world of entertainment.
