MUMBAI: Helly Shah is one of the most renowned actresses who has extensively worked in the Hindi TV industry and has also made her presence in movies and OTT space. The actress entered the world of TV entertainment in 2010 with the show ‘Zindagi Ka Har Rang...Gulaal’.

As the actress carved her way to more performances, audiences got to witness her amazing performance in Swaragini, where she portrayed Swara Bose Maheshwari. The actress gained immense recognition later again with her performances in Sufiyana Pyaar Mera and Ishq Mein Marjawan 2.

In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Helly Shah opened up about her life, her struggles and her achievements. The actress revealed about the changes in life after getting her first break in the TV show Gulaal.

When asked about how people’s behavior changed towards her after getting the role, Helly Shah revealed how the girls in her class were jealous of her. She said, “Kuch ladkiyan toh baat hi nahi kar rahi thi mujhse. Mujhe Laga ki yeh kya ho raha hai! Main toh waisi hoon ‘Nahi baat karni? Theek hai, main bhi mari nahi ja rahi hoon’ matlab ravaiya toh waisa hi hai. Stardom ki baat nahi hai. It’s about self-respect ki matlab I’m being nice to you but if you’re interested in talking to me aur aap agar uss cheez ko acknowledge nahi karna chah rahe ho toh phir theek hai yaar, it’s okay. Mera approach tabse waisa tha”

Talking about how she felt about that at such a young age, she said, “For brief period of time mujhe laga you have such sweet friends, aap sab share karte the, aapko best friends bula rahi hu and then suddenly there’s this gap of communication and aap alag se sunn rahe ho behind your back you’re getting to know ke yeh log ab bohot baatein kar rahe hai ya andar alag hi rumor hai ya gossip ho rahi hai toh phir mujhe laga kya fayda fir aise friends ka. It did affect me par again, main jaane deti hoon issues ko.”
