MUMBAI: Arjit Taneja, one of television’s most adored and celebrated faces, continues to enjoy an ever-growing fan following. From his debut in Kumkum Bhagya to his most recent appearance in Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, the actor has consistently left audiences impressed with his charm and talent. Now, all eyes are on him as he gears up to enter Jhanak on Star Plus post-leap, where he will be seen in a brand-new avatar.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Arjit spoke candidly about the invaluable lessons he’s learnt from co-stars Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia, his excitement for Shabir’s upcoming show, and his admiration for Mrunal Thakur’s journey.

You started your career with Kumkum Bhagya back in 2014. How was your bond with Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha? Did you learn anything from them?
Absolutely! I owe so much of my growth as an actor to both Sriti and Shabir. It’s been 11 years since I began my journey with Kumkum Bhagya, and I’ve learnt an incredible amount just by observing them. They’re not only phenomenal performers but also wonderful human beings — extremely grounded and sorted. I don't think there’s anyone quite like them in the industry. Whatever they do, they do it with perfection. I’m lucky to have had them as mentors and friends early on in my career.
Shabir Ahluwalia is all set to return to television. Are you looking forward to his new show?
I’m beyond excited! Watching Shabir make a comeback is a joy — and what a transformation! He’s lost weight, looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to see him on screen again. I’ll be promoting his show in every way I can. He deserves all the love and success.
Are you still in touch with Mrunal Thakur?
Yes, I am. Mrunal and I have remained close, and I must say, we’re all so proud of everything she has achieved. From television to the big screen, her growth has been phenomenal. She’s worked extremely hard to reach where she is today, and I’m really looking forward to her upcoming films. She truly deserves all the success coming her way.
