MUMBAI: Television actress Anjuum Faakih, best known for her roles in Kundali Bhagya, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, has officially changed the spelling of her name earlier known as Anjum Fakih. The actress recently revealed that the decision was deeply personal and spiritually driven, rather than a bid for fame or luck.
In a candid conversation with Times of India, Anjuum shared, “It wasn’t something I planned for long or did just for the sake of it. One of my closest friends, who’s now a certified numerologist, suggested it. She knows me inside out—my journey, my struggles, everything.”
The actress admitted that she had been feeling blocked creatively for a while. “I had been giving auditions, manifesting, and trying really hard, but nothing was moving. I felt creatively stuck, as if something just wasn’t aligning,” she said.
Anjuum, who believes in energies and spiritual alignment, added, “It wasn’t just about numbers or numerology. It was about shifting energy and resetting something deep within. Changing the spelling of my name was like a quiet message to the universe: Okay, I’m ready now. Let’s clear the block.”
Since making the change, she says she feels “lighter, more connected, and more open to receiving.”
Anjuum was last seen in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, where she participated but was eliminated in the early stages.
