Even now when I shoot for Haunted Nights, I recollect my time spent on the sets of Dil Dostii Dance - Vrinda Dawda

Vrinda Dawda
Vrinda Dawda is quite happy with her new show on Sahara One, Haunted Nights – Kaun Hai Woh?. Says the actress, “My character is that of a person of extremes. If she loves you, she will love you whole-heartedly. But if she hates you, then God will have to save you (smiles). The girl has no middle path.” Tell her that Sahara One is not a very happening channel and she says, “Agreed it does not have rocking numbers, but there lies the challenge to really work hard and make it number one. Our story has been on air for just two weeks and we are already getting a very good response from the audiences. Also the genre comes as a much needed relief from the normal saas bahu stuff.” Vrinda first came on the TV scene as a contestant on the Star Plus reality show, Perfect Bride. “I was very young then. It was a great experience of living under the glare of 24*7 cameras for two months sans TV and phones. Now I feel there is nobody who is a perfect bride or groom, we all are perfect in our respective spheres.” Vrinda denies that her motive of coming on that show was to get her 15 minutes of fame. “I don’t plan things. I never ever wanted to become an actor; I only wanted to become a model and for that I did the required rigmarole of photo shoots etc.” Talking about playing Taani on Channel [V]’s Dil Dostii Dance, she avers, “This dance based show produced by Cinevistaas Productions will remain close to my heart for it has given me a lot. Even now when I shoot for Haunted Nights, I recollect my time there. I will remain forever indebted to the team there, especially to Palki (Malhotra) Mam. Whenever I am in a fix, I promptly call them for advice.” Explaining further, she states, “The story in Dil Dostii Dance needed to be taken on a different tangent. I was informed well in advance of this development, and was kept in the loop. As for my replacement rumours, I don’t know from where such extra news flies around.” We wish you luck for the Sahara One venture, Vrinda!!!
