MUMBAI: There are a number of actors who gain a lot of popularity playing characters on-screens so much that the audience falls head over heels in love with their characters given the hard work they put in to get into the skin of their respective characters.
However, there are times when the actors get replaced by others and situations turn such that they are loved and become all the more popular than the actors who played the characters intially. Giaa played the role of Gopi Bahu however, after a spat Devoleena stepped in and she was welcomed by the audience with open arms.
Ronit Roy as Mihir Virani after Amar Upadhyay
Before his greatly mourned on-screen demise, Amar Upadyay played Mihir Virani in the hit television series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi for two and a half years. The character was so popular that it was brought back however, Amar quit the show later as he did not want to play an elderly role and the role was passed to Inder Kumar post which came in for Ronit Roy.
Vrushika Mehta on Dil Dostii Dance
Sneha Kapoor was a part of Dil Dostii Dance but after Sneha, Vrushika was offered the character and she was highly loved and admired.
Jennifer Winget in Dill Mill Gayye
Shilpa Anand played Riddhima’s role and later Sukirti stepped into her shows. However, Sukirti apparently played the character in a reserved fashion and hence the audience found it nice to see some of Riddhima’s original characteristics when Jennifer enacted it.
Madalsa Sharma in Anupamaa
According to speculations, Additi Gupta was supposed to play Kavya initially and according to reports, promos with her were already shot however, she fell a victim to covid-19 and Madalsa Sharma was brought on board.
