Amar to play Maharana Pratap Singh’s father on Star Plus

Contiloe Telefilms has roped in Amar Upadhyay to play Rana Uday Singh for their ambitious Star Plus project Maharana Pratap Singh. Rana Uday Singh was father of Maharana Pratap Singh. A source from the show says, “Amar has been chosen to play the key role of Maharana Pratap Singh’s father. The city of Udaipur has been named after Rana Uday Singh and history has it that Uday Singh dies just after a year of Maharana Pratap Singh’s birth. Maharana Pratap Singh has 27 wives out of whom he is close to three. The casting is still on for the show and the production house is looking for a fresh face.” Amar says, “I have a lot of offers from different production house, talks are on and nothing has been finalized yet.” Meanwhile, sources also claim that the show is set to launch somewhere around November-December.
