Channel V
Readers! It’s time for some exclusive dope and let’s start with some happy news. We would like to inform that four new shows that will be a part of Channel [V]’s ‘All new V’ concept have been lined up from 25 November. First let’s talk about the daily show that Beyond Dreams is coming up with. Titled Sadda Haq-My Life My Choice, it is about a girl with dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer and how she lives her life on her terms. Sanyukta, the lead of this show is to be played by model Harshita Gaur. The interesting part of this show is that Durjoy Datta, the talented youth author who has impressed us with his books earlier, has been roped in to write this project. Following Sadda Haq, comes two other new shows by Sudhir and Seema Sharma’s Sunshine Productions. The production house that has churned out successful youth shows like Miley Jab Hum Tum and The Buddy Project, is all set to launch two very interesting concepts. The first titled Paanch- Don’t Get Mad, Get Even is the journey of a young girl Roshni who is all set to take revenge from her five seniors with whom she has had a past connection. The other show titled It’s Complicated is about three young couples who deal with their relationship problems. The sitcom will be on the lines of the film Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Interestingly, the production house has roped in newcomers for both the shows. And finally, a reality based show by Balaji Telefilms will focus on the life of the youth and their multiple problems. The show titled Confessions of an Indian Teenager will have a young boy Vaibhav who will take on a journey to meet young people and share their worries. A blog for the show has also been created where youngsters can pour their heart out. Now if you are wondering where these shows will fit in let us inform you that two current ventures Suvreen Guggal-Topper of Year (4 Lions) and Crazy Stupid Ishq (Sphere Origins) will be pulled off-air. Sadly, both these shows will air their last episode on 22 November and will pave the way for these new offerings. And about the time slot for the new shows, well as earlier mentioned Sadda Haq will be a daily while the other three shows will be bi-weeklies that will air in the same band from Monday to Saturday. When we spoke to Lavanya Anand, Content Head, Channel [V], she averred, “We are yet to finalise on the time slot. Give us a week before we can officially announce anything.” While confirming the same, producer Sudhir added, “We have always maintained that we prefer doing definite series or seasons and these two shows will be also be on the same lines. With a theme close to the youth, we are sure it’s going to touch the right chords with the young minds.” Well, we wish all the four shows garner loads of success!!!
