We have heard about Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) and Salman Khan ruling the Rs 200 crore league, but with the release and subsequent success of Krrish 3 we wonder if the Rakesh Roshan-directed film will join the same league.
Well in the film there is a particular sequence in which the young Kaal (later played by Vivek Oberoi) kills his father Mohnish Behl over the reason of him being born unlike normal humans. And do we need to guess which actor essayed the role of the young Kaal?
Yes, it’s the 18 year old Rohan Shah, currently pursuing studies in B.Com along with a Diploma course in Advertising and PR, who started acting from the tender age of 6. Being the sole earning member in the family, the lad speaks about his experience working in Krrish 3.
“I was completely unaware of what I was getting into when I got a call for a role in the film. Since I was in college then, I went straight to the venue of audition directly from college without even freshening up. There I was introduced to Rakesh Sir who asked me whether I was free on particular dates and when he told me that I was to play the junior Kaal in Krrish 3, I was overwhelmed as well as nervous that I had to play the character that was to be played by a brilliant actor,” he states.
“More than acting in the film, I am happy that people know about me and the fact that I was confirmed without a single audition proves this point. I have now come to know that in this industry, one could be spoken about at a given point of time. I do not even know with whose reference I was called up,” he adds.
Initially Rohan appeared in a Colgate advertisement when jewellery designer Kiran Aman suggested his mother to push him towards the field of acting. Earlier the lad, who has done 4 to 5 films such as Kyun! Ho Gaya Na and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara, also acted in TV shows, the recent one being Gumrah and The Serial on Channel V.
When Tellychakkar.com asked the charming actor as to what motivated him to take up acting, the ecstatic lad replied, “I have been in this industry for the past 13 years now. When I started off, my mother did not even know that people get paid to act. She put me in this field just in the hope of watching me on TV once. It is from there that I took off.”
Rohan claims that being the only person handling responsibilities, it may seem difficult to teenagers, but for him it is a piece of cake. “I have been juggling between taking care of my family, studying and at the same time working from the age of 6,” he exclaims. “I am not comparing but I was drawn towards acting and I would like to say that it is very easy to know the industry if you are the son of a star as there are people in the family to guide you, but with me, I have learnt and understood the industry with my own experience and wish to rise to be an acclaimed actor,” he observes.
In a lighter vein Rohan mentions that after having acted in various advertisements and films with Mr. Bachchan and a host of other actors, he wishes to get an opportunity to act with Ranbir Kapoor and SRK once in his lifetime.
Rohan, we wish you all the best for your career!!!
