Production house Flying Turtle Films dissolves as partner Anil V Kumar parts ways with Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sakett Saawhney

Good friends Shabbir Ahluwalia, Sakett Saawhney and Anil V Kumar joined hands to form the production company Flying Turtle Films and went on to produce shows like Ganga Ki Dheej on Sahara One, Savitri and Savdhan India for Life OK. In the big screen scenario, the trio joined to co-produce the recently released movie Zanjeer (remake). But now, the company Flying Turtle Films is working towards its last project with an episodic on Savdhan India, which features Shailesh Gulabani and Samragyi Nema. The news coming in is that while Shabbir and Sakett will join again to form a company of their own, acclaimed Director Anil V Kumar will part ways. With this information in hand, we contacted Sakett Saawhney who confirmed the news saying, “Yes, we are indeed splitting. Anil, Shabbir and I had worked together for 7-8 years and we were great friends before we took the relationship further by forming Flying Turtle Films. In the past 4 years, we did Ganga Ki Dheej, Savitri and Savdhan India, apart from producing the remake of Zanjeer which released recently. Going ahead, we have different plans for our future and hence we have decided to go different ways professionally, but amicably.” Further elaborating, Sakett went on to say, “It is still the same equation between the three of us and we hope this rests all rumours and speculations surrounding our split.” On an affirmative tone, Sakett said, “Shabbir Ahluwalia and Sakett Saawhney will continue working together as a production house.” We get to hear that with Flying Turtle Films dissolving, Sakett and Shabbir will now gear up to continue working together under their new company Colossiva Entertainment (P) Ltd. We also tried reaching Shabbir and Anil but they remained unavailable till the time of filing the article. On getting any further information, we shall update this space in a jiffy.
