Anil Kapoor and daughters Sonam and Rhea part of Khubsoorat

In a move that reminds us of RK Films’ Dharam Karam in which all the three Kapoors (Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor) were part of, now comes the news that another set of Kapoors namely Anil Kapoor and his daughters Sonam and Rhea will be part of the remake of the 1980 hit Khubsoorat. While Sonam will star in the film, her father and younger sister will handle the production along with UTV Walt Disney Studios. Said UTV Walt Disney Studios Siddharth Roy Kapur, “The script is both endearing and entertaining…it will be a fun experience for the whole family.” The film revolves around a vivacious girl Mili (Sonam) who turns the lives of a royal family upside down. The Hrishikesh Mukherjee film by the same name had Rekha in a comic role for the first time. It was the story of a free-spirited girl Manju who stirs up things in a strict household once she comes visiting her married sister Anju. Finally, she wins everyone over with her charm. The film also starred Ashok Kumar and Rakesh Roshan. According to an insider Shashanka Ghosh who had earlier directed Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II (2003) and Quick Gun Murugan (2009) will be directing the film. The project, that started rolling from 15 November, is expected to release sometime next year.
