Nominations of the Big Star Entertainment Awards announced

Nominations of the Big Star Entertainment Awards have been announced. The award function organized by Reliance Broadcast Network (RBNL) in association with Star Plus will honour the most deserving entertainers and achievers across film, television, music and sports. As we all know Indian cinema, in its centenary year, has had a thrilling year in 2013 with a wide range of multi-genre films such as Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Madras Café, Chennai Express, Ram-Leela, Bombay Talkies, Satyagraha, Boss, Shuddh Desi Romance, Krrish 3, Dabaang 2 and Race 2 among those released. While the film awards have categories ranging from most entertaining social – drama film, most entertaining action film and most entertaining thriller film, most entertaining comedy film and most entertaining romantic film. Films like Aashiqui 2, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Chennai Express, Krrish 3, Ram-Leela and Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani will compete for Most Entertaining Film of the year. Totally, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has received the maximum number of nominations closely followed by Ram-Leela. Nominated for most entertaining actor in a romantic film – Male are Aditya Roy Kapur (Aashiqui 2), Ranveer Singh (Lootera) (Ram-Leela), Ranbir Kapoor (Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani) and Sushant Singh Rajput (Shuddh Desi Romance). Deepika Padukone (Ram-Leela, Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani), Parineeti Chopra (Shuddh Desi Romance), Shraddha Kapoor (Aashiqui 2) and Sonakshi Sinha (Lootera) will compete for the award of most entertaining actor in a romantic film-Female. The most entertaining category (directors) seems to be the most toughest with Ayan Mukerji (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani), Mohit Suri (Aashiqui 2), Rakesh Roshan (Krrish 3), Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Rohit Shetty (Chennai Express) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Ram-Leela) pitted against each other, Films featuring in the most entertaining film of the year are Aashiqui 2, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Prasoon Joshi, Chennai Express, Krrish 3, Ram-Leela and Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani. Among the debutants in the male category feature names like Dhanush (Raanjhanaa), Girish Taurani (Ramaiya Vastavaiya) Manish Paul (Mickey Virus) and Sushant Singh Rajput (Kai Po Che!). And among the female debutants are charming actresses like Elli Avram (Mickey Virus) Rhea Chakraborty (Mere Dad Ki Maruti), Taapsee Pannu (Chashme Baddoor) and Vaani Kapoor (Shuddh Desi Romance). The category for other awards is just as diverse and exciting. The 4th edition of the Big Star Entertainment Awards will take place on 18 December, 2013.
