Dhoom 3 to trigger release of Bollywood films in Kashmir after a long time

Yash Raj Films (YRF) surveys all aspects of film making viz production, distribution and exhibition. Of late it came into their eye that all the cinema halls in Kashmir valley were either burnt down or are under the occupation of armed forces since the last 24 years and people there have no source to entertain themselves by seeing films in theatres. Thus the production house cum distributor approached authorities in the valley to let them screen their latest offering Dhoom 3 at a cinema hall in the valley’s summer capital Srinagar on the same day when it releases all over India. Said a YRF spokesman, “Yash Raj Films has now approached authorities in the valley to have Dhoom 3 release in at least a single theatre in Kashmir. It has been almost three months that the dialogue is on. It's not easy as all theatres there have been burnt down.” And now the situation is such that if all goes well, the film will be screened at Neelum Cinema located near Shaheed Ganj locality of Srinagar city. Dhoom 3, that stars Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra, will release on 20 December all across India.
