Aanchal is a single mother

Kaveri aka Aanchal Diwedi has one more reason to be happy. After playing a cameo in Chalti Ka Naam Gaddi on Zee, the actress has entered Santaan on Star Plus. For the first time Aanchal is essaying an elderly role. Elaborating on her character she explains, “I’m playing a positive role of a single mother in the show. My character Purnima is a business woman who is manipulated by her daughter. I had pampered my daughter a lot and due to this she had become a spoil brat. Now the story will revolve around the things I do to fulfill my daughter’s demands.” What was the reason for talking up an elderly role? “I have no problem of essaying an elderly role. The reason for taking up this show was the character of Purnima who is a strong woman. It is something that I have not played,” she avers. Is it another cameo? “It’s not a cameo. I have been told to me that my character in the show will be on for three months. Even in Saat Phere I was told this but then I was made permanent. So you may never know,” she explains. You are not much seen in Saat Phere. “Currently the track is focusing on Saloni (Rajshree) and Jiji (Nivedita Bhattacharya). My track keeps coming and going,” concludes the actress. With a reality show and good serials tucked under her belt, Aanchal has a lot to look forward to.
