The best part about this show is that I can be myself,” says Amit. Elaborating on his character he explains, “I play the role of Sagar who is basically from a theatre background. I meet Khushi at a mall and fall in love with her. It’s a contrast from what I play in Betiyaan. In the coming episodes I enter Khushi’s home and things will change for us. There is a nice twist in the story.” Have you done any homework for your role as Sagar? “There was no need as such. The only thing that I needed to understand was the culture. The director said that just be yourself and be stylish,” he informs. So is your role coming to an end in Betiyaan? “Not exactly. The main drama in the show will be unveiled in the coming week where Yuvraj (Romit Raj) will realise the truth about Pavitra (Jassveer Kaur). I plan the fake marriage and trap Pavitra and get all the property which she has stolen from the Garodia family,” he says. Whether real or fake, love makes the world go round. And loverboy Amit is in a tizzy.
