Sooraj Pancholi charged with abetting Jiah Khan's suicide; meanwhile Rabiya Khan seeks USA's help

More trouble looms large for actor Sooraj Pancholi who has now been charged with abetting Jiah Khan’s suicide. The police officials have used the notes in which Jiah referred to her tumultuous relationship and frustration over her career, have been taken as her suicide note. A 447-page charge sheet was filed before a metropolitan magistrate’s court in Andheri that has statements of 36 witnesses, which also include the name of Salman Khan. Meanwhile, Jiah’s mother Rabiya, has requested USA to intervene and help her in probing the murder angle. Rabiya said she has sought US intervention as her daughter was a US citizen and Mumbai police are refusing to investigate the murder angle. She also claimed to have a meeting with a consulate representative on Monday. Rabiya through her lawyer also informed that she was planning to move the Bombay high court against the charge sheet filed by the police which she says ignored the forensic evidence that showed that Jiah was killed. “Their reports are inconclusive and tailor-made to benefit the accused,” she said, demanding a special investigating authority or CBI investigation. With every passing day, the case just seems to be getting murkier.
