After the Uttar Pradesh government granting tax exemption to the Salman Khan-starrer Jai Ho last Saturday, there is a buzz that the Gujarat government is mulling with the idea of granting tax exemption to the Sohail Khan-produced film.
Throwing light on the same, a Gujarat government official confirmed on conditions of anonymity that they have instructions from the chief minister’s office to give exemptions to Jai Ho. Things are being worked out and hope all will be done in a couple of days.
The funny part of the two states granting the film tax exemption is being seen by chatters as Salman’s closeness with both Akhilesh Yadav and Narendra Modi. It may be remembered that Salman visited Gujarat on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi and had some chat and kite flying moments with the Gujarat chief minister.
While in UP, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Salman and Alia Bhatt took part in the Safai Mahotsava recently and performed in the same.
But no one seems to understand that the film has a message of ‘give and share’ that is very important in today’s times.
