Sanjay Dutt's parole ends; set to return to Yerwada Jail

After being out on parole for months since 21 December, 2013 on grounds of the illness of his wife Maanyata, it’s time for Sanjay Dutt to return to Pune’s Yerwada jail as his parole time ends today. The star’s continued parole extension brought him under lot of media scrutiny. It may be recollected that Dutt had applied for the third parole saying that he wanted time so that he can to take care of his wife who had undergone surgery. The 53-year-old actor is serving the remaining 42 months of his sentence for illegal possession of arms in a case related to the 1993 serial blasts in which over 250 people were killed and several hundred wounded. In early 2013, the Supreme Court upheld his conviction and awarded five-year prison term. He has already served 18 months of his jail term.
