12 Years A Slave's Lupita Nyongo praises The Lunchbox, Irrfan and Ritesh Batra ecstatic

It isn’t often that America and Hollywood notice Indian films. Hence it was pleasure to treasure when this year’s Oscar winner Lupita Nyongo (of 12 Years A Slave fame) posted on a microblog site a glowing response to Ritesh Batra’s The Lunchbox. Wrote Ms Nyongo, “Just saw the movie The Lunchbox: the perfect heartwarming love story period, but especially on a cold and rainy day.” The Lunchbox lead actor Irrfan Khan is kicked by the praise from such a reputed fellow-actor. Irrfan reacted saying, “Lupita is a wonderful, marvelous actor. She has won hearts all over the world. Her reaction to our film is most precious. All strength to her.” Lunchbox director Ritesh Batra who has been traveling to various parts of the world with the film is also kicked by Lupita’s comments. Says Ritesh, “It is really very kind of her. She’s a fabulous actor, I am glad the film is still playing in the US.”
