Gagan of Bani emotes through eyes, but my character of a cop in Savdhan India is physically demanding - Shashwita Sharma

Shashwita Sharma
The beautiful and talented Shashwita Sharma, who essays the role of Gagan in Colors’ Bani Ishq Da Kalma, is pretty excited about the way her role has shaped up in the show. From being a negative-minded character to becoming a girl who has seen quite a lot in her personal life, the character of Gagan has grown with time. Says Shashwita, “Gagan is not a girl who will keep cribbing thinking of the setbacks she has faced in her life. Her husband has cheated on her and she now shares a very cold relationship with him. The couple, who was in love once upon a time, do not even talk now. They stay under the same roof, but there is still that awkwardness in their relationship. This will be a beautiful track that will emerge soon.” Shashwita who is so used to emoting and expressing through her eyes in Bani will now be seen in a physically demanding role, that of a cop in one of the upcoming episodics of Life OK’s Savdhan India. The actress will don the role of the cop Shanta Bishnoi who will be very honest and sincere towards her work. She will face the challenge of working on a case where a father will come to the police station with the cut head of his own daughter, and surrendering before her for having chopped his daughter’s head. Narrates Shashwita, “I simply enjoyed playing the role of the cop for Savdhan India. This role had more scope in terms of physicality. My background in theatre actually helped me to carry this role. I also have a sequence where the cop threatens a corrupt politician and forces him to speak the truth. The scene demanded quite a lot of energy and it will surely be gripping.” The episode of Savdhan India, produced by Shri Jagannath Films featuring Shashwita will air on 9 May on Life OK.
