MUMBAI: For Suman Indori actor Sachin Sharma, the spark for performance was first ignited during a nukkad natak in his college years. “I was in my engineering college when I did my first street play, and I realised—this is what I love to do,” he recalls. It was a turning point so powerful that by his final year, Sachin made a bold decision: he left everything behind and came to Mumbai to chase his dream.
With no contacts in the industry and no one in Mumbai to rely on—not even his parents knowing where he was—Sachin’s early days in the city of dreams were anything but easy. “Being an outsider with no connections was difficult, but that phase made me a stronger and better person.”
His most recent project (Suman Indori) marked a key turning point in his journey. “That role gave me the space to grow, and I learnt so much as an actor. My confidence has changed drastically from where I started.”
One person he credits deeply for his evolution is his director. “Yusuf sir has been a blessing. He believed in me and helped bring out the best version of myself.”
Despite the hurdles, Sachin’s belief in himself never wavered. “Rejections made me stronger. I’ve always believed in my confidence and told myself that no matter what the situation is—I’ll make it one day.”
Sachin says his biggest lesson so far is simple but powerful: “Learn every single day. Be consistent, focused, and disciplined—and you’ll get whatever you want to achieve.”
He’s also immensely grateful for the unwavering support of his family. “My parents have been my biggest strength in this journey. Their belief in me keeps me going.”
For aspiring actors, Sachin offers heartfelt advice: “Believe in yourself and stay focused. This industry is tough, but it’s not impossible. I want to prove that even outsiders can rule the industry—if they don’t give up.”
