Shilpa Shinde to make a comeback in Chidiya Ghar, Shubhangi replaced

It’s time for some hot news! Post Debina Bonnerjee coming back with a bang as Mayuri in SAB TV’s Chidiya Ghar, Garima Productions has now planned to bring back another super hit character in the show. Viewers may recall how the character of Koel came to a standstill when Shilpa Shinde decided to call it quits. It was then that the Kasturi fame, Shubhangi Atre decided to step in and take up the challenge of keeping the character alive. Now the news comes in that the makers of the show have planned to replace Shubhangi and bring back Shilpa for the character of Koel. Surprised? Informs a source, “Shubhangi’s one year contract with Garima Productions had to undergo a renewal process. However, when she asked for a hike the production house did not even negotiate and blankly refused saying we will fetch a replacement. She was out and Shilpa returned to the show.” Hmm... When we contacted Shubhangi all she had to tell us is, “It has been a month I have not shot for Chidiya Ghar. I did not quit the show. I have been replaced by somebody. All I can say for now is that the one year I spent with my co-actors and the entire team was a pleasant and wonderful experience. I thank Garima Productions and SAB TV for giving me this wonderful opportunity” So what’s next for the lady? “I am looking forward to doing a love story and have given look test for the same.” With Shilpa’s decision to make a comeback on the Chidiya Ghar, which she had earlier quit as she did not want to be typecast, she said, “It’s true that I quit the show because I was tired seeing myself playing the same character for a year. My father too was not well around that time and I decided it was best to take some time off. I later returned to essay a negative character in Do Dil Ek Jaan…which was different than doing only comedy. But unfortunately the character did not materialize the way it was promised. You can call that my bad luck!” “I later got an opportunity with Lapataganj by Garima Productions and since I personally love the show I could not say no to it. I do not know about why the replacement was called but I share a good relationship with Garima Productions and when they requested me to make a comeback in Chidiya I agreed as I had taken a good break from comedy and I am now ready to return with a bang.” Shilpa claimed that the trend which follows in television is such that production houses want to see their characters live for years whereas she wants to see herself doing a variety of roles that will help her boost her performance and enhance her acting abilities. While we wait for Shilpa to make a comeback and enthrall the audience once again post IPL, will we get to see a mordernised avatar of Koel too like we did of Mayuri in Chidiya Ghar?
