A deadly curse and a king’s quest: Raja Chaudhary’s entry in Sony SAB's Tenali Rama brings high-stakes drama

Tenali Rama

MUMBAI: Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama has captivated audiences with its compelling stories of the legendary court poet and master strategist, brought to life by the talented Krishna Bharadwaj. The tale takes a gripping turn with the introduction of a new empire and its formidable king, Chaudappa Raya (Raja Chaudhary), adding a thrilling new chapter to the narrative.

Seasoned actor Raja Chaudhary steps into the pivotal role of Chaudappa Raya, the rightful ruler of the Keladi kingdom. Despite being chosen over his elder brother, Thirumalai Raya (Pradeep Tiwari), Choudappa Raya’s reign is soon overshadowed by whispers of a deadly curse—one that dooms anyone who sits on the throne. As fear spreads across the kingdom, he embarks on a journey to Vijayanagar, seeking answers and a way to break free from the dark fate threatening his rule. His arrival sets the stage for a gripping tale of mystery, power, and resilience.

Raja Chaudhary, playing the role of Raja Chaudappa Raya in Tenali Rama said, “It feels great to be back in Tenali Rama once again. In the earlier chapter I played the role of a Sardar and this time I am playing a completely different character – that of a king called Choudappa Raya. This is a fascinating character as Chorudappa Raya is a just and courageous king, but he is challenged by a situation where even his strength and wisdom may not be enough. The legend of the throne’s curse shakes the very foundation of his kingdom, and his journey to uncover the truth is filled with unexpected twists. Playing this character is an incredible experience, and I am excited to be a part of Tenali Rama for the second time.”

Watch Tenali Rama, every Monday to Saturday at 8 PM, only on Sony SAB.
