Indresh Malik excited to be back in Madhubala after shooting for two movies

Indresh Malik, fondly known as Bittooji of Colors’ Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, is excited to be back with his on-screen family. The character was not seen for nearly two months, owing to the shift in storyline. However, Indresh made good use of this break to complete the shoot of his movies. He will be seen essaying a cameo in Kalki Koechlin’s movie Margarita, with a Straw. Says he, “I have a brief appearance in the movie. The best part is that I have a 10 minute solo sequence with Kalki Koechlin, and I enjoyed shooting for it. The movie also stars Southern actress Revathy. It was great working with her.” Indresh will also be seen in Nautanki Films’ upcoming movie, Ikkis Topon Ki Salaami. “I play yet another 5 to10 minute cameo role in the movie produced by the maker of Madhubala. I will essay a Muslim character.” But the roles are comparatively smaller? “Everyone who is a big star today started somewhere and gradually they grew to be superstar or heroes whose films we cherish. The roles I am doing are definitely not big but I am being treated and paid well. Frankly speaking I don’t have a face of a hero but I can plan substantial roles and I am working towards it having worked on 60 to 70 ads and 14 TV shows till date.” Well said!!! Now, talking about his comeback in Madhubala, Indresh states, “I was in Delhi for some work when I got a call to shoot for the show. I happily agreed. It is always great to work with your family. In fact, as soon as I got the call, I rang up Shamaji (Deshpande) and enquired about her comeback too. We were overjoyed to know that we both would be resuming shoot. I immediately told her that I need some ‘ghar ka khana’ as I will be heading to shoot directly from Delhi. And she got me food for the first few days, and I enjoyed the delicacies (smiles).” On the brief phase wherein he did not shoot for the show, the actor avers, “See, we are one big family. And it so happens that few people in the family would go out at times to enjoy a vacation. I take our break in this way. We have to eventually head home. I am looking forward to shoot with everyone.” And guess what? His friendly banter with Vivian (RK) continues on the sets. “Like always. Vivian (Desna) keeps hitting me and I do the same, so it’s a happy happy scene (smiles).” Indresh, may you have a great journey ahead in Madhubala and in your movie ventures.
