Sonakshi is the hero of my next film, confirms Murugadoss

director A R Murugadoss and Sonakshi Sinha
Holiday director A R Murugadoss is ready to direct his third hero-centric Hindi film, except that the hero in Murugadoss’ next Hindi film is Sonakshi Sinha. Says Murugadoss, “There will be no male hero in the film. Sonakshi Sinha will play the main lead. She will be the hero of the film, much in the same way as Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Akshay Kumar in Holiday.’ Sonakshi , we learn, would be learning the chops from master-actioners borrowed from Hollywood. She would have to set aside at least two months for the training. So is Sonakshi doing a Kill Bill or Lara Croft? Murugadoss is mysteriously mum. “Neither Lara Croft nor Kill Bill. Sonakshi’s action avatar would be completely new. I feel she has it in her to shoulder a whole action film. I am committed to direct this film for Fox Star.” Apparently Sonakshi’s stunts would be based on the Indian martial arts tradition from Kerala. The script is work in progress. “Unlike my two other Hindi films so far the Sonakshi-centric script would be an original.” The director would get down to directing Sonakshi’s Mata Hari avatar as soon as he finishes his current Tamil film. Explains the shy director, “I left behind a 40-percent complete Tamil film Kaththi to make Holiday. Now I am going back to Chennai to complete that film. As soon as I finish that one I will return to make my film with Sonakshi.”
