Exclusive: Varun brokers peace between Shraddha and angry press photographers

Varun Dhawan and Sharddha Kapoor
When success goes into a celeb's head, all it needs is a small boycott session from the media to bring the stars back to mother earth. Shraddha Kapoor is the latest candidate who learnt this the hard way. The haughty actress was reportedly seen throwing her weight at a media event. Sources who witnessed the entire drama say that Shraddha was allegedly disdainful and refused to pose for the assembled lensmen at Filmistaan studios where she was shooting for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. A senior photojournalist on condition of anonymity told us that Shraddha was unusually rude that day. "When we asked her to pose, she flatly refused. She said, 'Baad mein karte hain' and walked away. We waited but the click never happened. The next day when we spotted Shraddha again we requested her to pose but she just continued walking looking at her feet and never even once did she acknowledge our presence." The cold shoulder given to the press was enough to earn Shraddha the much dreaded photographers' ire. Unanimously all of them decided to boycott the actress and refused to click her at her subsequent Ek Villain's promotional events. Reportedly, Shraddha's good friend the camera friendly Varun Dhawan came to her rescue. Sources said that Varun wanted to end the thaw between Shraddha and photogs and requested the latter to let bygones be bygones. When we asked Varun about playing peacemaker for Shraddha, the actor agreed and said, "Yes, I told them yaar bas karo. Jaane do and they seemed to have agreed. I kind of played the mediator." But the photojournalist we spoke to claimed that the boycott still continues and he was not sure if Varun had indeed been able to broker peace. Well, whatever be the case, the situation surely doesn't augur too well for Shraddha who seems to be growing a bit too big for her shoes, it seems. We hope peace prevails for everyone's sake.
