Director Rohit Raj Goyal moves out of Diya Aur Baati Hum; to work for Shashi Sumeet's next on Star Plus

There’s some good and bad news for all fans of Diya Baati Aur Hum (DBAH). First, the not-so-good one. After taking Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum (DABH) to great heights with his brilliant direction, Rohit Raj Goyal has now moved out of the project. But the good news is that the talented director will now be seen helming Shashi Sumeet Productions’ upcoming show on Star Plus. We asked Rohit the reason behind him opting out of one show when he could have handled both simultaneously. “Well, the talks were on since January. The reason behind moving out from the project was because I got a chance to experiment with a new show and that too with the same production house and on the same channel. I was never asked to quit but the proposal was sent by the channel which I thought should be considered. The best part is my co-director Aakash deep Chetri from DABH will now entirely look after the direction part. Aakash has been a part of the show since the beginning and is well versed with the show’s concept. DABH is blessed to have amazing actors, writers, technicians, spot boys and other people associated with it.” Recently, rumours of lead Anas Rashid (Sooraj) being the reason behind Rohit’s exit started doing the rounds. Rubbishing them as mere baseless, Rohit said, “Anas is a very good human being. We both get along very well. Yes, sometimes due to the pressure of work, you tend to shout but there is nothing personal. In fact, I will miss working with him.” Will he miss directing his wife Deepika (Singh) on DABH? “Deepika and I have always been thorough professionals. In fact, I used to shout at her sometimes if the shot was not up to the mark. For me, work comes first. But now that we both are married we can spend time at home,” said Rohit. However, it looks like Deepika will miss her darling hubby. Admitting the same, Deepika told us, “Definitely I will miss Rohit. He is the one who has trained me so well. I knew about his decision and that’s the reason we got married so that we can spend time at home. I am also happy that Aakash sir will now be in charge of the show single handedly."
