MUMBAI: The cameras are rolling, and excitement is in the air as Raj Kundra and Geeta Basra kickstart filming for Rakesh Mehta’s latest Punjabi film, Mehr. Produced by Divya Bhatnagar and Raghu Khanna, the film is set to hit cinemas on 5th September 2025.
Bringing together a heartfelt story and a stellar team, Mehr is a tale of love, relationships, and second chances, all wrapped in the rich cultural fabric of Punjab. The film stars Master Agamveer Singh, Geeta Basra, Baninder Bunny, Savita Bhatti, Rupinder Rupi, Deep Mandeep, Ashish Duggal, Hobby Dhaliwal, Tarsem Paul, and Kulvir Sony with Raj leading the pack.
Director Rakesh Mehta, known for blockbuster movies, says, “Punjabi cinema is at a turning point, and Mehr is a film that mixes emotion, drama, and heart. Raj and Geeta bring so much depth to their roles, and I can already see magic unfolding on set. This one’s going to stay with people for a long time.”
For Raj Kundra, Mehr marks his much-anticipated entry into Punjabi films, and he’s all in for it. He says, “This story had me hooked the moment I heard it.
