MUMBAI: Rakesh Poojary is a well-known TV actor and comedian who rose to fame after winning Season 3 of the popular reality show Comedy Kiladigalu. The actor has passed away at the age of 34. According to family sources, he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during a mehendi celebration at a pre-wedding function in Nitte near Udupi on Sunday night.
Originally from Karkala in the Udupi district, Rakesh was the son of Dinkar and Shambhavi Poojary. He had earned significant recognition for his performance in the Kannada TV serial Hitler Kalyana and had also been involved in various other television and film projects throughout his career.
His unexpected demise has left the Kannada entertainment industry in mourning, with many actors and colleagues offering heartfelt tributes and condolences. The family has confirmed that his final rites will take place in his native town of Karkala.
