MUMBAI: Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan teams up with M-Town’s young star Shane Nigam for an upcoming film. A day ago, a photo of Shane Nigam and Shine Tom Chacko meeting Priyadarshan, at the latter’s studio in Chennai had gone viral on social media, and the netizens were suspecting that they will be collaborating for a project.

Shane Nigam has shared the photo with a caption, “Truly a memorable day :).”

Though the makers are yet to make an official announcement, it is confirmed that Priyadarshan will be directing Shane Nigam. Interestingly, this is also the first time Priyadarshan is working with a bunch of actors from the current generation. As per the reports, actors Arjun Ashokan, Shine Tom Chacko, Sidhique, Johny Antony, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Appani Sharath too are part of the film.
The film is said to be a comedy entertainer, and will go on floors in September. The title and other details regarding the cast and crew will be announced later.
Meanwhile, Priyadarshan is currently working on ‘Olavum Theeravum’, a segment from an upcoming anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s short stories. The star cast will feature Mohanlal in the lead, and Santosh Sivan has roped in as the cinematographer. He will also direct another segment ‘Shilalikhithangal’, which will feature Biju Menon and Shanti Krishna in lead roles.
On the other hand, Shane Nigam’s last two outings were ‘Bhoothakalam’ and ‘Veyil’.
