MUMBAI: Malayalam mega star Mammootty recently turned 72 and the social media was flooded with birthday wishes for their dear “Mammukka” as he is fondly called by everyone, from people of all walks of life including politicians, actors and others from the film industry. His son Dulquer Salmaan too had the sweetest wish for the South legend. He expressed how much he admired and wished to be like him.
Taking to Instagram, Dulquer shared some monochrome pictures with Mammootty and wrote, “When I was a boy you were the man I wanted to become. When I first stood in front of the camera you were the actor I wanted to become. When I became a father you were everything I wanted to be. I hope one day I become even half of who you are Pa ! The previous night, Mammootty waved and greeted his fans outside his home who waited patiently to get a glimpse of him. His son Dulquer too joined him in greeting the large crowd.

On the work front, Dulquer is currently seen in the OTT series Guns and Gulaabs while Mammootty has an interesting line-up of films that include, The Great Indian Kitchen director Jeo Baby’s Kaathal – The Core with Jyothika, Kannur Squad, Kadugannawa Oru Yatra, and Bazooka.
