The Hyderabad-based Active Telugu Producers Guild (ATPG) released a statement saying that the shoots will be voluntarily withheld from August 1, 2022 until they can discuss during a sit down and find ways to solve their lingering predicaments.
According to their statement, the revenue and the costing is one of the major concerns. The Guild talked about change in ‘revenue situations and increasing cost’ in the entertainment industry.
“Post-Pandemic with the changing revenue situations and increasing costs, it is becoming important for producers to discuss all the issues we are facing as a community of filmmakers,” says the statement.
The producers have decided to stop all shoots until a solution is found to the problems that have arisen. The statement also added that it is their responsibility to better the ecosystem and ensure that they were releasing the films in a healthy environment and in that regard, all producer members of the Guild have voluntarily taken the step to stop shoots.
Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR are amongst the actors whose films can be affected even though it still isn’t clear which production houses and films will follow this decision of the Guild.
