MUMBAI: S.S. Rajamouli set a benchmark with his Pan-India movie Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The movies gave us our first Pan-India star Prabhas who received immense love not just for his acting skills in Baahubali and its second instalment but also for all the movies that came after that as he garnered fans from the Hindi movie lovers too.
Talking about S.S. Rajamouli, the director has surely given us some amazing movies in the recent years. Yes we know him as the Baahubali director but it’s important to know that he has given us many more amazing movies in the past and one of the most popular movies from the list if ‘Eega’ or as Hindi movie audience know it as ‘Makkhi’.

It is a 2012 movie starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sudeep, and Nani. In the movie, we see an unusual on-screen chemistry between Samantha and Nani where Nani’s character is murdered by Sudeep (the antagonist) but he gets reincarnated as a fly and tries to take his revenge while protecting his lover Bindu (played by Samantha) from Sudeep who is obsessed with her.
Every time there is Samantha and Nani’s name mentioned, fans immediately go back to this movie and once again it has happened. Nani is coming up with his new movie ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ which was tentatively titled ‘Nani32’. During the promotions of the movie, Nani and Samantha crossed paths and videos of them talking together went viral.
This also made fans desperate to see them together once again on-screen and a lot of fans asked for Eega sequel to witness their chemistry once again. While some suggested that it can be a continuation of Sudeep coming back as another insect, a predator to the fly, some others suggested a completely fresh storyline with focus on how animals are being treated cruelly.
It’ll be interesting to see if the makers will listen to the fans but till then, let’s wait for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram to hit the theatres.
