MUMBAI: Karthi is renowned for picking his projects wisely and is one of the most versatile actors in Tamil cinema. The actor is known for giving characters a straightforward portrayal that makes them extremely relatable to the viewer.
His 2022 movie Sardar, directed by PS Mithran, gained acclaim because it was thrilling and had a socially aware undertone. On October 21st, the movie celebrated its one birthday, and the Kaithi actor thanked the viewers and supporters for their support on social media. He also disclosed that the film's second installment is now being produced. Additionally, he posted a video on his social media accounts in which members of the audience rated Sardar. He shared the following post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The 2022 spy action thriller movie Sardar was directed by PS Mithran and in addition to Karthi, it starred, Raashii Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Pandey, and many others. Karthi played two roles in the movie. The movie documented the life of a former RAW agent.
S Lakshman Kumar, bankrolled under the name Prince Pictures, provided financial backing for the movie, while GV Prakash Kumar provided the music. Fans praised PS Mithran's screenplay, directing, and acting, as well as the performances of Karthi, Raashii Khanna, Chunky Pandey, and Rajisha Vijayan. The movie was a smash hit.
The last time we saw Karthi, he was portraying Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan in Mani Ratnam's masterpiece Ponniyin Selvan. Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and Chiyaan Vikram were among the ensemble cast members of the movie. Widespread praise was given to the movie, particularly for Jayam Ravi and Karthi's roles.
The Madras actor's upcoming film role will be the title character in the crime comedy Japan. Raju Murugan is the director of the movie, which also stars Anu Emmanuel, KS Ravikumar, and many other actors. The movie will premiere in November of this year after the recent publication of the trailer.
