Talking about the original Ghajini, it was directed by A. R. Murugadoss and received a lot of love for its commendable performances. The movie was initially released in Tamil and later Allu Aravind dubbed the same in Telugu and got released in 2005, November. Murugadoss also remade the movie in Hindi that had Aamir Khan in pivotal role with Asin, Pradeep Rawat, and Riyaz Khan who reprised their roles. The movie had taken inspiration from Memento (2000) and Happy Go Lovely (1951). The plot of the story is about Sanjay Ramaswamy who has short-term memory loss after he is hit with an iron rod. He is unable to remember things after fifteen minutes. However, when his lover Kalpana gets murdered he finds the one responsible for murdering his love. Movie lovers had already created the hype related to Ghajini's re-release and that it would be re-released on June 7, 2024.
