MUMBAI :Pa Ranjith, the director, and actor Vikram worked together on Thangalaan. Vikarm's breathtaking appearance in the upcoming movie has enchanted everyone since the teaser for the movie was just published.
The entire team gathered in Hyderabad at the Telugu version's teaser release. A journalist asked PS2 star Vikram a fairly surprising question during a media encounter with the Thangalaan crew, shocking both the team and the actor. Why doesn't the Tamil audience seem to be enjoying Telugu-dubbed films as much as Telugu people do was the query posed by the journalist.
After a short silence, the actor said he didn't agree with the idea. He cited popular movies like RRR, Kantara, Bahubali, and KGF as compelling proof of Tamil viewers' preference for Telugu films with Tamil dubbing. Vikram stated, "Tamil audiences genuinely enjoy Telugu films, and I can provide numerous examples of Telugu hits that have performed exceptionally well at the Tamil box office."
In response, Vikram gave other examples, which helped to normalize the conversation. He brought up the fact that a number of Telugu movies that had been dubbed into Tamil had done remarkably well at the box office. He also noted how many Tamil movies had been dubbed into Telugu and how the Telugu audience had enjoyed them.
Vikram has a huge fan base in Telugu and has acted in multiple Telugu movies during his career. He is renowned for his versatility and ability to thrive in a variety of roles. The audience always adores it when he tries something new. The preview for the Thangalaan movie has been well appreciated by reviewers and Telugu fans alike, and there is a positive buzz surrounding it as well.
The eagerly awaited one-minute and thirty-two-second teaser helps to establish the story's setting. The narrative centers on a native tribal community residing in the Kolar Gold Field and their struggle to repel invading foreign armies. Chiyaan Vikram was portrayed in the teaser in a whole different manner, looking raw, unclean, and harsh. It also showed Pasupathy and Parvathy Thiruvothu as members of the same tribe. The character played by Malavika Mohanan was also glimpsed in the trailer; she was seen screaming so loudly that sound waves could be observed.
Regarding his professional life, Vikram's upcoming project is the much-awaited Dhruva Natchathiram Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Vinayakan, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Simran, Dhivyadharshini, Arjun Das, and numerous other actors are in the ensemble cast of the movie.
The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on November 24; the trailer debuted on October 24. The actor also recently revealed that SU Arun Kumar of Chiththa fame will be directing his 62nd film, which is tentatively named Chiyaan62.
