MUMBAI: Mani Ratnam is one of the most loved and respected directors of Indian Cinema who gave a completely new perspective towards storytelling. The director has given out gems like Iruvar, Nayakan, and Raavan to name a few.
Now to celebrate Mani Ratnam’s movies, Bejoy Nambiar and Nikkhil Advani have joined forces in this year’s G5A Summit where we will get to see a celebration of Mani Ratnam movies. The list includes – Nayakan, Bombay, Raavan, Kannathil Muthamittal, Kaatru Veliyidai, Alaipayuthe, and Iruvar. The G5A summit will take place on January 24, 25 and 26 and it’s not just going to be all about movies as there will be many filmmakers, actors and other artists who will be present. Interestingly, cast members and cinematographers related to Mani Ratnam movies will be present there.
In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Bejoy Nambiar talked about his love for Mani Ratnam movies and what aspect of those movies he loves so much.
Bejoy Nambiar was asked an aspect of Mani Ratnam movies that he loves or looks up to, the director said, “I don’t think there’s a singular aspect to that because I still continue to work with him so even in his new film, I was part of it. So I keep going back to work with him because there are so many things I get to learn just by being on a set and it can be the smallest thing of the kind of detailing that he does for his scenes to the way he extracts performances from the actors to the way he stages the scenes to the way he knit picks on each and every small detail in every aspect of the filmmaking so there is so much I get to absorb and learn by being on his set, which is the primary reason that I keep going back to work with him. So I don’t think there’s one singular thing that I can say. There's a lot of things that I get to learn by just being on the set.”
Bejoy Nambiar has given us some amazing movies in the past with his last movie being Dange (in Hindi) or Por (in Tamil).
