MUMBAI: It’s not just Hindi cinema that is bringing out amazing content for the audience but even Malayalam cinema has given us some amazing content over the years. Recently we saw Bramayugam starring superstar Mammootty. The movie received amazing responses and then came another movie Manjummel Boys which gave a fresh new content to the audience to enjoy.
Manjummel Boys is directed by Chidambaram S Poduval and features a great cast of actors like Khalid Rahman, Ganapathi, Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Jean Paul Lal, and some more. The movie released on 22nd February. The movie is based on a group of friends who are on their vacation trip to Kodaikanal but get into some unexpected misadventures on their trip. The movie is based on a real incident that took place at the Guna Caves of Kodaikanal.
Interestingly, the movie opens up with ‘Kanmani Anbodu Kadhal' from the famous film, 'Guna', which is a sure treat for all the Kamal Haasan and Ilaiyaraaja fans.
The movie received some very positive reviews from the audience and opened up to Rs 3.3 crore on its first day. This survival thriller movie is sure to grab a lot more attention and it’ll be interesting to see its total collection in the end.
Interestingly, there are also reports that Manjummel Boys opening day collection was even better that Mammootty starrer Bramayugam which was Rs 3.1 crore. However, according to the audience, the success doesn’t just include Box Office collection.
