MUMBAI: The Lion King is one of the most cherished Disney stories ever told and it’s one that has been passed on through generations. We all know the story of Simba how he sees his father Mufasa die, breaks apart from his family, discovers the mantra of life ‘Hakuna Matata’ and on knowing about the trouble on his family, he goes back to rescue them and avenge his father’s death by killing his uncle.

However, there is a story before that which is quite unheard and deserves all the attention. Well, Disney is here with just that and it’s time we get to know about it. A long time before Simba, it was Mufasa’s life and journey about how he ended up being who he was – The Lion King. That journey will be told in ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, Disney's latest live-action movie.
Disney had released the first Hindi trailer of the movie some time ago and looked incredibly fascinating and insightful. Directed by Barry Jenkins, this prequel tells the story of a young Mufasa, how he met Scar, their journey together and how Mufasa became the Lion King.
For English language version, Aaron Pierre will be lending his voice for the character of Mufasa. We earlier reported that for Hindi language, Shah Rukh Khan will lend his voice. The movie will also feature Abram Khan's voice for the first time along with Aryan Khan's voice.
Now as per new updates, it is reported that Mahesh Babu will lend his voice for Mufasa's character in the Telugu dubbed version.
It'll be interesting to see who will lend their voice for Tamil version.
