Following his interrogation, Vishal posted on X, "Just finished my visit to CBI office in Mumbai for an enquiry regarding the CBFC case. Was a completely new experience and am glad the way the enquiry is being conducted. Took some inputs too about how a CBI office would look like. Lol." He continued, "Never ever thought in my life I will be going to this Govt office too. Need to step in to stand up against corruption in real life too and not just in reel life."

Vishal said two months ago that in order for the Hindi version of his movie Mark Antony to be screened and certified, the CBFC offices in Mumbai required a payment of Rs 6.5 lakh. In order to make his claims of corruption against the CBFC Mumbai office, Vishal posted a video on social media.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting responded by releasing a statement underlining how strongly it opposes corruption. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy regarding corruption and expressed its profound worry about the corruption claims made by Vishal. They promised that anyone discovered to be engaging in corrupt activities would face harsh consequences.

The CBFC responded to the claims with a statement that said, "We have taken note of the allegations being reported very seriously and CBFC has zero tolerance for corruption. Also, the strictest action will be taken against anyone found involved and we shall get into the root cause. Meanwhile, any attempt to malign the image of CBFC will not be tolerated.”
