MUMBAI: Nayanthara, popularly called the Lady Superstar in the south, has been busy with quite a long list of things on her plate. Fans of the actress are waiting to watch her work with Shah Rukh Khan in her upcoming film Jawan. As the gorgeous mother of two is all set for her BOllywood debut, she is now making headlines for another debut.

Interestingly, Nayanthara who is happily married to Vignesh Sivan and has twin boys with him, was once in a serious relationship with Prabhudeva and the duo were all set to tie the knot in June 2009 when things went kaput and they could not even make their relationship public.

Nayanthara was reportedly heartbroken when her relationship with Prabhudeva did not work. She said in a previous interview, “I'm not sure if it's fate or what, but it simply didn't work. We were probably not meant to be together.”

Nayanthara and Prabhudeva were in a live-in relationship which shocked his first wife Ramlath. The latter refused to give him a divorce allegeing that he was not financially supporting her or the family. By the time he did get a divorce, it was too late. 

Prabhudeva never opened up about his relationship with Nayanthara in public. He remarried his second wife in 2020 and made headlines for becoming a father for the second time at the age of 50.
