MUMBAI : Karthi Subbaraj has made quite a strong mark with movies like Jigarthanda, Jigarthanda DoubleX, Petta, Mahaan and many more. The director has also collaborated with Rajinikanth in the 2019 movie Petta which marked the superstar’s 166th film.
The director is all set for his upcoming movie with Suriya, tentatively titled Suriya 44. Meanwhile, in an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Karthik Subbaraj opened up about his experience working with Rajinikanth for the movie Petta.
Karthik Subbaraj said, “When I told the script to Thalaivar, he was excited for it and the end twist an his character as well. And then this character as such, something new like the characters shades because I never wanted to show him like a completely like a very good person, he’s sort of a grey shade character so he is the best villain we have known for ages. And then he doing a grey shade character, I know that he would enjoy so he enjoyed that and then during shooting it was more of the time I was just sitting in front of the monitor and enjoying that moment of watching him perform. More than a director I was more of a fan at that time.”
Truly the performance of Rajinikanth was fabulous and so was Karthik Subbaraj’s direction in Petta.
