MUMBAI: The South film industry woke up to the sad news of well known Tamil actor and assistant director Saran Raj passing away. The actor’s demise was caused by a horrific car accident that took place on June 8th. The collision took place at 11:30 p.m. in KK Nagar, when a supporting actor Palaniappan, crashed his car into Saran’s motorbike.

Saran had multiple injuries and ultimately that caused his demise. Sadly it was reported that Palaniappan was driving under the influence of alcohol. Filmmaker Vetri Maaran has worked closely with Saran in several films including Vada Chennai and Asuran.
We pray that the actor’s soul Rests in Peace.
