MUMBAI: Kantara Chapter 1, starring Rishab Shetty is one of the most eagerly awaited films. According to reports, the movie will begin its fourth round of filming in August. Action-packed events are on the upcoming schedule, according to a popular news portal's report. It is noteworthy to highlight that Rishab Shetty received national awards for the movie Kantara this year.
In a statement, the popular news portal stated that the film's makers plan to start the fourth scheduled filming of the movie in August. Furthermore, it has been informed by the sources that an extensive action scene would be shot during the next shoot.

The movie is described as a prequel to the first part and is probably going to continue the Panchurli Deiva's story, which takes place in the Kadamba era. Returning to his role as music director, Ajaneesh Loknath captivated audiences with his work in the first film and is now back in the film, which is also directed by Rishab.
In 2023, Rishab Shetty announced that what the audiences saw was actually part 2 and therefore what will be released next will be Kantara’s prequel, titled ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ “We are very pleased and thankful to the audience who had shown immense love and support to Kantara and taking the journey ahead, with the blessing of almighty Daiva the film has successfully completed 100 days and I would like to take this opportunity to announce the prequel of Kantara. What you have seen is actually Part 2, Part 1 will come next year,” he had said.
Afterward, an insider disclosed some fascinating information regarding the prequel, saying that 'Kantara: Chapter 1' will center on the lives of Panjurli and Guliga Daiva.
“The film draws the inspiration from ancient times and tells the story about the origin of Panjurli Daiva and Guliga Daiva divinities and also throws light on their origin,” an insider said.
Recently, Rishab Shetty caused a stir when he made comments regarding Bollywood’s portrayal of India. Shetty expressed his frustration with Bollywood's portrayal of India in international film festivals in a widely shared interview with the popular news portal.
Speaking in Kannada, he stated, “Indian films, especially Bollywood, show India in a bad light. These art films are invited to global events and given a red carpet. My nation, my state, my language—my pride. Why not take it on a positive note globally, and that’s what I try to do.”
